Glacier View Lodge is setting its sights on fundraising with the Walk for Glacier View on September 22.
Teams and individuals will take part in the Walk 4 Glacier View Lodge, to raise funds that will make a difference in the lives of the facility's elders.
The two-kilometre walk starts at 1 PM at Glacier View Lodge, 2450 Back Road, Courtenay.
The walk will showcase the lodge’s surroundings and welcome people of all abilities.
Lodge residents can do a micro walk at the lodge while others can choose to walk the grounds or take part in a remote walk using the Race Roster program which offers several walking options.
"Our focus is on supporting seniors' care and housing.", said James Taylor, chair of the board.
"By participating in this event, community sponsors, teams, and individuals can help shape a future where our aging population is cared for with dignity and respect," .
