With municipal ballots now counted, voters across British Columbia are turning their attention to Saturday’s provincial election.
Advance voting continues today through Wednesday, with participating locations open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. each day.
Eligible voters can cast their ballot at any advance-voting location in the province and do not need a special reason to vote early.
Not every advance-voting place will be open on every day of the advance period, however. Elections B.C. recommends checking the Where to Vote card mailed to registered voters or confirming locations and operating dates online before leaving home.
Voters are encouraged to bring their Where to Vote card and accepted identification. The card can make the process faster, but it is not required to cast a ballot.
Eligible residents who are not already registered can register when they arrive at a voting place, provided they bring identification showing their name and current address.
After advance voting ends Wednesday evening, final voting day will be Saturday, October 24. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
British Columbians will choose among 355 candidates competing across the province’s 93 electoral districts.
Complete candidate lists, advance and final voting locations, identification requirements and other election information are available at Elections B.C..
