Police in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside are urging people living in a tent encampment to be vigilant after threatening flyers were distributed throughout the area.
The flyers included threats to burn down tents if residents don't leave the encampment within a week.
There were also threats made against a supervised drug-injection site.
Police are asking the community to report suspicious activity, and anyone with information about the flyers is asked to contact Vancouver Police.
Tents set up along Hastings Street sidewalks were ordered removed last month due to fire risk.
Police blocked traffic last Tuesday as city staff began what's expected to be a weeks-long process of dismantling the encampment, but little had changed by the end of the week with most residents staying put, stating that they have nowhere else to go.
