There will be lots of activity in and around Cumberland’s Village Park this weekend as Comox Valley RibFest returns to Cumberland, Friday through Sunday.

The Village Park playground, splash park, sports courts, dog park and jump park will all remain open to the public throughout the event.

Organizers are beginning set-up at the park today and will be taking down and moving out on Monday between 9am and noon.

The Village says staff have worked with event organizers to minimize impacts on residents, including noise, parking and vehicle traffic. Volunteers will direct event traffic to appropriate parking locations and discourage parking in unsanctioned areas.
