Now through September 8th, MARS, the Merville-based rescue & rehabilitation centre, is holding its annual Summer Raffle Fundraiser.

The MARS Wildlife Rescue Centre opened its doors in 1995 & they treat over 1000 animals per year, including raptors, waterfowl, songbirds, raccoons & fawns. Prizes include 2 roundtrip tickets for 2 to any regularly scheduled WestJet destination, a Breville Espresso Maker, value of $3300, 3 nights at the Wickaninnish Inn for 2, value of $2400, an Inflatable kayak and accessories, value of $629, donated by Dan & Wendy Davies, 2 nights for 2 at Cox Bay Resort, value of $520, donated by Brad Piercy and Deb Sundberg, a Jason Leo-Bartle framed eagle picture, value of $450, 1 night for 2 at the Old House Hotel, value of $300 & Bear Garden Statues, value of $125.
