The Comox Valley Regional Emergency Operation Centre has officially lifted the State of Local Emergency, having been in effect since Friday to support emergency response to flood conditions in the Comox Valley.
The centre will remain open to support registered evacuees and coordinate the transition from response to recovery activities.
Approximately 150 people have been affected by flooding that occurred across the region. Assessments within the community are ongoing to confirm impacts.
Residents affected by the flooding can visit the CVRD website for available resources on flood debris management. Clean-Up kits are available for affected residents on a first come, first serve basis at the Lower Native Sons Hall today between 2pm and 4pm.
The District says BC Hydro will continue to release water out of the reservoir in order to manage water levels.
Residents and visitors are asked to stay away from rivers, waterways and low-lying areas as water levels can change quickly.
Updated information will continue to be posted at Comox Valley Regional District and the CVRD social media channels.
