The provincial government says hundreds of new homes were opened across British Columbia in March, with more projects underway as part of ongoing housing investments.
Housing and Municipal Affairs Minister Christine Boyle says 384 new homes were funded and opened during the month, welcoming a range of tenants including working families, seniors, people with disabilities, First Nations elders and people experiencing homelessness.
According to the province, housing investments remain at historically high levels. Budget 2026 funding for housing is nearly five times higher than in 2016.
Since 2017, the Province says more than 95-thousand homes have been delivered or are underway across British Columbia.
The homes opened in March included 40 Indigenous housing units, 296 affordable rental homes and 48 supportive housing units.
Officials say the new housing is intended to support a wide range of residents, including seniors, families, workers in key sectors, people with disabilities and those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
