Community Gaming Grants are starting to head out to communities on the North Island.
Twenty-two organizations in the region are receiving $80,000 in funding for human and social services, such as meeting the needs of under-served groups, providing public outreach and education, and more, including:

John Howard Society of North Island - $ 60,000
The North Island Survivors' Healing Society - $ 100,000
Multicultural and Immigrant Services Association Of North Vancouver Island - $ 41,900
Stepping Stones Recovery House for Women Society - $ 66,000
Comox Valley Head Injury Society - $ 23,000
Lake Trail Community Education Society - $ 42,500
LUSH Valley Food Action Society - $ 94,000
The province is passing over $61 million in funding this year throughout BC.
