The Conservative Party of British Columbia has a new leader.
Kerry-Lynne Findlay was elected leader on Saturday.
She takes over from interim leader Trevor Halford who stepped in back in December after John Rustad resigned.
In a post on X, Findlay said the party will “restore prosperity to British Columbia, protect property rights, make our streets safe again, and build a stronger, freer future for our families and children.”
She says she’s ready to get to work for all British Columbians.
Findlay won the election with about 51 percent of support on the fourth ballot.
The Conservative caucus is set to meet on Monday.
