A milestone in the Comox Valley last week as the Regional District officially broke ground on the Mount Washington Firehall.
The District has been working to construct a firehall building since 2021 that would directly support the emergency response and protection for the community.
“I am thrilled to see this project start construction,” explains Electoral Area C Director Edwin Grieve.
“As the community continues to grow along with increased wildfire risks, the needs for this firehall are vital to the residents.”
Construction is expected to be completed by October or November.
