Community members are reminded that Greenways Land Trust presents the 7th annual Loop Day on Sunday.
From 11am to 4pm, participants will be pedaling, walking, running, or rolling their way around the 28 km loop.
A temporary bike lane will be in place on Pier Street, between the Maritime Heritage Centre and the crosswalk at Robert Ostler Park.
Temporary markers will turn the parking lane on the water side of Pier Street into a two-way bike lane from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The temporary bike lane will connect the existing bike lane on Highway 19A to the south and will help cyclists travel downtown more safely.
Participants can head back to the Maritime Heritage Centre once finished, for an after party where there will be yard games, a beer garden, a food truck and more.
There’s no cost to take part, for details, visit Loop Day 2026.
