Daytime highs will approach 30 C in Campbell River and the Comox Valley today.
Several B-C communities saw temperature records broken over the weekend.
Environment Canada issued special weather statements for the coast covering Metro Vancouver and the interior as above average temperatures are expected to hang around for the week.
Meanwhile, the BC River Forecast Centre is bracing for rapidly changing conditions with swollen rivers and high stream flows.
The centre has issued advisories for the Dean and Bella Coola Rivers, along with the Upper Columbia, West and East Kootenays, and Boundary.
While no major flooding is expected, community members are being warned to stay away from fast moving waters.
