Comox Valley residents will have an opportunity to hear directly from their provincial election candidates on Thursday, October 15th, as the campaign enters its final stretch ahead of the October 24th election.

The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting an all-candidates forum for the Courtenay–Comox riding at North Island College's Stan Hagen Theatre.

The event will run from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., giving voters an opportunity to learn more about the candidates and their positions on issues affecting the local community.

Discussions will focus on economic priorities, including business development, housing, transportation and other challenges facing the Comox Valley.

The forum is intended to provide an opportunity for candidates to share their perspectives on the region's economic future and how their parties would address issues affecting local businesses and residents.

With the provincial election approaching, the event offers voters another opportunity to compare candidates' priorities and better understand their positions before heading to the polls.

Admission is free, although advance registration is required due to limited seating.

Residents who are unable to attend in person will also be able to watch the discussion through a livestream on the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce's Facebook page.

The forum comes just one day before advance voting begins in British Columbia's provincial election.

Advance voting runs from October 16th through October 21st, with voting locations generally open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Not all advance voting locations will be open every day.

General voting day is Saturday, October 24th.

Residents are encouraged to check their voting locations and available dates through Elections BC.
