Eligible voters in Electoral Area D have another opportunity to cast their ballots on Thursday, October 15th, ahead of this weekend's local government elections.
An advance voting opportunity is being held for the School District 72 Area 1 trustee position, representing the Oyster Bay–Buttle Lake electoral area.
Voting is taking place at the Strathcona Regional District office, located at 990 Cedar Street in Campbell River, with polls open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
The advance voting opportunity allows eligible residents to cast their ballots before general voting day, providing an alternative for those who may be unable to attend the polls on Saturday.
The school trustee election is part of British Columbia's 2026 local government elections, which will determine representatives for municipalities, regional districts and school boards across the province.
General voting day is Saturday, October 17th.
Residents are encouraged to check their eligibility and voting information before heading to the polls.
