Household waste that’s too large for curbside collection as well as recyclables that normally need to be taken to Campbell River can be dropped off at the Main Road Yard on Island Highway. Drywall and hazardous waste will not be accepted, and Motor oil, filters, antifreeze and single use packaging like cardboard, tin, foam, hard & soft plastics can be brought to the Sayward Recycling Depot. Habitat for Humanity ReStore will also be on-site to collect gently used household items for donation. It’s from 9am and 4pm both days & free to take part.
