As Fire Prevention Week comes to a close - a reminder for Courtenay and Comox residents about the potential for free pizza!
The Courtenay and Comox Fire Departments are teaming with Domino’s Pizza Saturday, October 15th, to reward residents who have working smoke alarms in their homes.
From 5-9pm, when Courtenay residents order from the location on Ryan Road - and Comox residents from the Comox Mall - they may find their pizza is delivered with the help of Comox or Courtenay firefighters.
They'll arrive by firetruck and check your alarms - and if you need batteries replaced, they'll do it for you. If you're given the all clear - your pizza is free.
This campaign marks the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week, working to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe from home fires.
