It’s just about DOUGHnation Day.

Comox Valley’s COBS Bread location at Driftwood Mall will once again be showing they care by giving back to the community.

This Saturday, April 1, 2023, for every six-pack of hot cross buns purchased, COBS Bread will donate two dollars to the Comox Valley Child Development Association (CVCDA).

Additionally, Cobs Bread will be offering fun and activities for the whole family from 1-4pm.

There will be games by donation with chances to win various prizes, kids can decorate their own Fun Bun and MORE!

So come down to Driftwood Mall, say hello and meet some of the CVCDA Board and team members.

Throughout the month of March, COBS Bread will be accepting donations on behalf of the CVCDA both in store (tiptap available, tap to give) and online at Cobs Bread.

When donations are made online, Cobs Bread will also be matching donations up to $10,000.

Owners/Operators, Charlotte and Dean Seal, were drawn to the ‘fresh baked daily’ philosophy practiced by COBS.

Additionally, quality ingredients, no added preservatives and scratch baking techniques captured their entrepreneurial imagination.

These were just a few of the great characteristics that struck these two and created that warm, buttery.

smell and happy feeling when they first stepped foot in their local COBS back in Vancouver.

When it came down to it, they just weren’t ready to part with the COBS fresh white rolls and hot cross buns they had come to know and love.

“No where does hot cross buns like COBS” said Charlotte Seal.

All proceeds raised through this year’s Doughnation Day will be presented with a cheque to directly support the programs offered to children and families through the CVCDA.

The Comox Valley Child Development Association is non-profit organization locally supporting children, youth, adults, and their families since 1974.

Last year, over 1000 Comox Valley children and their families used services at the CVCDA.

All of the CVCDA’s programs are designed to not only enrich the lives of the people who access these services but also to contribute to a stronger Comox Valley that welcomes and includes everyone who lives here.
