The Comox Valley Board of Education has approved school calendars for the next three academic years.
The newly approved calendars set out key dates including the start and end of classes, holiday breaks and non-instructional days.
District officials say planning calendars several years in advance helps provide consistency and predictability for students, families and staff, while also supporting long-term planning at both the school and district level.
The calendars were developed by a district committee made up of representatives from school administration, teachers, support staff, parent groups and the board of education.
Draft versions were also shared with the public earlier this year, giving families, staff and community members a chance to provide feedback through a survey process.
Officials say the final versions reflect a balance between that community input, operational needs and student learning requirements.
The approved calendars, along with additional details about the consultation process, are now available on the Comox Valley Schools website.
The first day of school for the 2026-2027 school year is Tuesday, September 8th.
