Comox Valley RCMP Seek Assistance To Identify Suspects In Two Incidents

Comox Valley RCMP is looking to identify the suspect in an assault at Mt. Washington on March 8, 2023 at around 2:00 p.m.

An individual who had been resting on the Jacks Run reported that two men came down the hill and one of them hit his skis, became upset, told the victim to move along, and then punched him in the face and head butted him.

The two then skied away.

The victim was wearing a video camera, so police have released a screenshot of the suspect, who is described as between 20-25 years old, about 5’8” tall, with light coloured skin, and shoulder length dirty blond hair.

The victim was taken to hospital and is recovering from his injuries.

RCMP are also investigating a theft that occurred at Mt. Washington on February 9, 2023.

Surveillance footage from Mt. Washington shows two suspects walking up to the board rack and taking two snowboards.

The suspect in the blue jacket dropped the board he was holding but the suspect dressed in black left with a snowboard that did not belong to him.

“If you know either of these men or the whereabouts of the stolen snowboard, please give us a call, said Constable Monika Terragni, Media Relations Officer, Comox Valley RCMP.
