City of Courtenay staff will be out today and tomorrow to inquire about how the community feels about bylaw services.

“Supporting bylaw compliance efforts is one of the City’s top priorities,” said Acting Mayor Melanie McCollum.

“In recent years we’ve added bylaw enforcement officers and invested significant resources into this division, supporting work ranging from routine inquiries to major bylaw investigations. As we plan for the future, we’re asking our community for input. We want to know what’s working, and where we could improve, so we can identify priorities for bylaw compliance that will help the City meet the expectations of Courtenay’s residents and businesses.”

They’ll be hosting pop ups this summer - starting today - to find out what is working - and what is not - and where the city can make improvements, overall.

Project consultants will also be on hand - they’re setting up today from 1pm to 4pm at the Courtenay Riverway parking lot located at the end of 20th Street near the Marina.

They will be out again Wednesday, same time - but at the Duncan Ave Parking Lot at Duncan and 4th.

You can also take part in a Bylaw Compliance Strategy Surveywhich will be live til July 25th.
