Powell River plays Tuesday at 4:50 against Penticton and Wednesday morning (10:50) against Prince George.

The Kings are coming off a pair of one goal road losses on the weekend to Coquitlam and Langley. The bright spot was the play of Will Jones from Nashville Tennessee; the Defenceman picked a goal and three assists.

The last time the Campbell River Storm were in Saanich on October 11th they were dominated by the Predators. Getting the first goal in the rematch on Friday was the key to success and fifth year Forward, Quinn Messer went one step, or should I say one goal further, striking for the first two markers of the game enroute to a solid 5-2 win. Goaltender Nick Peters stopped 38 shots for his league leading sixth win of the season. The other Storm goal scorers were Xavier Rivard, Kaiden Emond and Carter DeBoer.

The Comox Valley Glacier Kings didn’t fare as well dropping both their weekend games to South Division teams; 3-1 to Peninsula on Friday and 4-3 to Victoria in a shootout on Saturday. Yeti newcomer Ivan Kedrov scored twice on Saturday and Goaltender Ryder Lally was superb, stopping 50 shots, 25 of which came in the third and overtime periods.

The point moved the G-Kings into a first place tie with Campbell River at 19 points, Oceanside is a point back in third place. Both the Storm and Generals have played three less games.

Next action for these teams; Powell River battles Penticton in Seattle Tuesday afternoon, the Storm are on the road in Nanaimo Thursday night while Comox is idle until Friday in Saanich.
