If you have accessed substance use services in the Comox Valley in the last two years, you're being asked to fill out a survey where participants will be asked to speak about gaps and strengths in services.

"Walk With Me," in collaboration with Comox Valley Art Gallery, Thompson Rivers University, and the Comox Valley Substance Use Strategy, are looking for people with experience in accessing, or attempting to access, substance use support services in the Comox Valley.

The survey is open to those 18 years and older who lives in the Comox Valley and has used substances, including but not limited to opioids, stimulants, alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis, AND has accessed or attempted to access substance use support services in the Comox Valley over the past two years.

Participation in the survey, which comes with a $25 honoraria, is completely voluntary and all responses will be kept confidential.

Identifying info, including name, email, and phone number will be used only for the purposes of providing the honoraria and quality control and will be removed from the data file before the response is analyzed.

The research team will use the data to create reports about the state of the service ecology in the Comox Valley. You can find the survey on the City of Courtenay's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/cityofcourtenay/

Keeping Our Word

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
