With three months remaining in their campaign, the North Island College Foundation is highlighting its Future 50 Legacy Match campaign.
It provides instant funding for student awards and emergency assistance.
For every new or updated legacy promise, $1,000 is released from a $50,000 matching fund.
The goal is to ease financial pressures students face at the start of the year, particularly as costs related to tuition, housing, and basic living expenses continue to rise.
Legacy gifts made through wills, securities, or other assets are designed to create long-term support for NIC students, helping ensure future learners have access to financial assistance when they need it most.
The campaign is supported by two $25,000 cornerstone contributions from Ida and Ted Sauvé and Coastal Community Credit Union.
The Foundation says their support allows them to release funds as soon as new legacy commitments are made.
With three months remaining in the campaign, the NIC Foundation says there is still time for donors to take part and help support students now and into the future.
