There is an open house on Friday, January 30, 2026, as the City of Courtenay continues work on a new Strategic Transportation Plan.
The plan will guide transportation improvements over the next ten years and support community mobility and growth for the next 25 years.
City officials say the plan will help set priorities for future investments and actions, focusing on how people move throughout Courtenay - including walking, cycling, driving, and public transit.
As part of the planning process, residents are encouraged to share feedback on transportation priorities, safety concerns, and ideas for improvement through an online survey.
The open house is taking place at the Florence Filberg Centre from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., with presentations scheduled for 12:30 and 5:30.
Public input gathered through the survey and open house will help shape the direction of Courtenay’s transportation network moving forward.
If you can’t make the open house, have your say by filling in the survey at Engage Comox Valley.
