Campbell River families wondering whether homeownership could be within reach are invited to learn more about Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North’s affordable homeownership program.
The organization will hold a free Homeownership Information Session on Saturday, November 21, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Activity Room Number One at the Campbell River Community Centre.
During the 90-minute session, Habitat representatives will explain how the program works, who may be eligible and what families can expect throughout the application process.
The program is intended to provide a pathway to homeownership for working families who need safe and suitable housing, can manage affordable mortgage payments and are willing to partner with Habitat.
Successful applicants are also expected to contribute volunteer hours and participate in financial-literacy training to help prepare them for the responsibilities of owning and maintaining a home.
The session is designed to help interested families better understand the program, ask questions and determine whether it may be the right fit for them.
There is no cost to attend.
