Comox Valley RCMP are asking the public to help identify a man suspected of stealing merchandise from a downtown Courtenay business.

The incident occurred on October 2, 2026, at a store in the 500-block of Cliffe Avenue. Police say the man allegedly concealed merchandise before leaving without paying.

Investigators have released surveillance images in hopes someone will recognize the suspect and provide information that could help establish his identity.

Police say the man may be associated with a blue Volkswagen Jetta. The vehicle information forms part of the public appeal for assistance.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the surveillance images, or has other information related to the incident, is asked to contact Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321 and refer to file 2026-15741.

Those wishing to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
