Maritime Heritage Centre Offers Friday Maritime Activities This Summer
The Maritime Heritage Centre in Campbell River is inviting visitors of all ages to explore local maritime history through hands-on activities every Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. from July 17 through August 28. Organized and led by the Centre's Community Outreach Team, the program introduces participants to maritime skills and traditions through engaging, interactive learning. Visitors are welcome to drop in, and no registration is required.
Each Friday features a different maritime-themed activity:
July 17: Communications and Signaling
July 24: Navigation
July 31: Maritime Language
August 7: Knot Tying
August 14: Communications and Signaling
August 21: Navigation
August 28: Maritime Language
Activities take place at the Maritime Heritage Centre, 621 Island Highway, Campbell River, and are included with regular museum admission.
