The 2nd Annual Salmon Stamp Contest from July 15 to August 15, a community-driven event celebrating the summer salmon run here on Vancouver Island.
Participants bring in a fresh (unfrozen, unfitted) pink salmon measuring between 18 and 22 inches and drop it off at The Mossy Coast store or contact them online. They will have a cooler on site for safe drop-offs.
From there, staff will hand-stamp a limited run of 30 to 35 custom tees, each one featuring the actual salmon that was entered. Each winning fisherman receives their own salmon-stamped tee, a piece from the limited run of their fish, and their name attached to that exclusive run as the fisherman who caught it.
It is a fun way to celebrate local fishing culture, community storytelling, and the summer salmon run here on Vancouver Island.
The event runs from 12:00 AM to 11:55 PM on the following dates.
