Work on a walkway upgrade on Cheviot Road in Campbell River, from Petersen Road to Westmore Road, is set to begin and continue until August 30th.
The work looks to improve pedestrian safety and minimize potential impacts on underground utilities, with a pavement pathway located on the south side of Cheviot Road.
The ditch will be infilled in multiple areas along the south side of Cheviot Road, and new manholes and drainage pipes will be installed.
Also, low-profile concrete barriers will separate the path from the road.
Road closures and detours may come into effect for parts of the project.
Notifications will be sent to local neighbourhood residents and Ripple Rock School, and the City will advise residents of disruptions on the City website and social channels.
