The City of Courtenay is giving residents a look at the progress made on some of its major priorities over the past several years.
The City has released highlights from its 2023–2026 Strategic Priorities, providing a snapshot of work completed between 2023 and July 2026.
The update covers a wide range of areas affecting the community, including transportation and infrastructure, parks and recreation, housing and community development, public safety, environmental sustainability and the local economy.
It also highlights work involving City operations and other initiatives undertaken during the current strategic planning period.
The City says the highlights represent only a portion of the work completed over that time, with many projects and initiatives shaped through public engagement, community consultation and partnerships.
Courtenay’s 2023–2026 Strategic Priorities were developed to help guide City decision-making and establish areas of focus during the current council term.
Residents interested in taking a closer look at the progress made so far, along with the City’s complete strategic priorities, can find more information at City Of Courtenay.
