Drivers in Campbell River are being advised of a partial closure along Argonaut Road as crews complete asphalt paving.
The traffic restrictions begin Wednesday, November 4, 2026, and will be in effect on working days from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. through Friday, November 20th.
City crews and contractors are completing the work as part of Campbell River’s Capital Asphalt Overlay program.
Local residents and businesses will retain access, but other motorists should prepare for delays and changing traffic patterns throughout the project.
Drivers are being asked to slow down, obey posted signs and follow all directions from traffic-control personnel while travelling through the work zone.
The paving will also temporarily change access to the Campbell River Waste Management Centre.
Anyone travelling to the facility must approach it using the Gold River Highway and should not attempt to enter from Argonaut Road while the work is underway.
Because asphalt paving requires suitable conditions, the City says the schedule is weather-dependent and could be adjusted because of rain or other unsuitable weather.
If you have concerns, or to report an incident, contact the City of Campbell River by emailing dogwood.centre@campbellriver.ca or calling 250-286-4033.
