The Village of Cumberland water system will soon be under annual Stage 1 water restrictions.
The restrictions come into effect every year on May 1st.
Under Stage 1, lawn sprinkling is permitted between the hours of 4 am – 10 am and 7 pm -10 pm, on Wednesday and Saturday for even numbered addresses and Thursday and Sunday for odd numbered addresses.
The City of Courtenay also outlined plans this week on restrictions beginning May 1st.
