The Rotary Club of Campbell River has started work on the Baikie Island parking restoration project.
As a result, the parking lot for Baikie Island has been moved from its previous location at the end of Robinson Road to a new site 80 meters north along the Island Highway.
The parking lot at the end of Robinson Road is now closed. It will be restored to its natural state, with native plants and trees.
The new parking lot is now open, and signage is in place.
The project was funded by the Rotary Club of Campbell River and the Campbellton Neighbourhood Association, with support from the City.
