Families are invited to celebrate Family Day with a free community event at the Comox Community Centre later this month.

The Family Day celebration runs Monday, February 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and features a wide range of activities for all ages. Planned events include face painting, an inflatable obstacle course, open gym time, arts and crafts, board games, and story time.

The Seniors’ Intergenerational Action Network will once again host the storytelling portion of the event, encouraging connections between generations.

Comox Fire Rescue will also be on site with a barbecue, serving hot dogs and giving families a chance to meet local firefighters.

The Community Centre’s Fitness Studio will be open during the event as well, with regular admission rates applying. More details and activity schedules are available through the Town of Comox recreation website or by contacting the Comox Community Centre directly.
