There are a lot of events to enjoy in the region this weekend.

At the Comox Valley Fairgrounds, the Comox Valley Exhibition is on today through Sunday.

Promoting local farming, the exhibition offers three days of fun-filled events for all, from petting a lamb to watching the diving dogs, along with the many farm animal shows, the lumberjack show, carving show, and what organizers call non-stop entertainment.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and kids aged 5-12. Children under 5 get in for free.

Things run from 12- 7pm Friday, 10am-7pm Saturday, and 10am-5pm on Sunday.

Comox Valley Ribfest is also taking place this weekend.

The 3-day Food and Music Festival is intended for people of all ages at Cumberland Village Park.

Proceeds will support local and international Rotary projects.

Ribfest is underway from 11am to 9pm today and tomorrow, and 11am to 7pm on Sunday.

And there’s a chance to catch the circus in Campbell River this weekend.

Circus Osorio is performing at 150 Brant Drive, next to the Shell station at Quinsam Crossing (look for the tent), with shows through Monday.

The Osorio Brothers - Francisco (Pancho), Leoncio Enrique (Leo) and Roberto Carlos (Rob) are continuing their family’s tradition and living the dream, they say, by owning a circus.

Their father and mother retired from the family business in Mexico when they moved their boys to the United States, and the kids wanted to keep going.

Their show includes acrobats, trapeze artists, motorcycle stunts, and more.

You can find details at American Crown Circus.
