A section of Galerno Road in Campbell River is scheduled to close on Tuesday, October 20, while City crews complete a water-service repair.
The full road closure affects the stretch between Rockland Road and Stag Road from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Traffic controls will be in place, and drivers should expect possible delays around the work area. Local residents will continue to have access to their properties during the repair.
Motorists travelling through the neighbourhood are encouraged to choose another route where possible and follow all posted signs and directions from traffic-control personnel.
The work may also require water-service interruptions at some properties. The City says it has already contacted those expected to be affected.
“Any properties whose water service will be affected have been notified,” the City states in its advisory.
Anyone with questions or concerns about the work, or wishing to report an incident, can contact the City of Campbell River's Dogwood Operations Centre by calling 250-286-4033 or emailing dogwood.centre@campbellriver.ca.
