Families are invited to get active and spend the day together at the Lewis Centre in Courtenay on Family Day.
The City is hosting a full day of free, all-ages activities on Monday, February 16, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the entire Lewis Centre dedicated to family-focused fun.
Family gymnastics sessions will run throughout the day, with participants able to sign up for available time slots when they arrive.
The multi-purpose hall will feature a full schedule of drop-in activities, including family salsa from 11:15 to noon, family yoga from 12:15 to 1, and a family dance party from 1:30 to 3.
There will also be a family game zone with giant Jenga, Connect Four, face painting from 11 to 2, and other activities.
Additional spaces will include a toddler zone, a sensory-friendly room, and an arts and crafts area.
The squash courts and Wellness Centre at the Lewis Centre will also be open on Family Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with regular fees applying.
The city is also looking for volunteers to help support the event, with more information available at City of Courtenay.
