The Strathcona Regional District is bringing its work on a new Official Community Plan for Electoral Area C back to the community.
Residents have contributed to the process through surveys, workbooks, meetings and open houses over the past two years.
That feedback has helped shape the plan’s draft policies, and three upcoming events will give residents an opportunity to see how their ideas and priorities have been incorporated.
Participants will be able to review the proposed policy direction, ask questions and provide further input on whether the plan reflects the future they want for their communities.
A drop-in open house will be held Tuesday, October 20, at the Quadra Island Legion Hall, followed by another Thursday, October 22, at the Quadra Island Library. Both sessions run from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Residents of the Outer Discovery Islands can attend a community meeting Wednesday, October 21, from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Surge Narrows Bunkhouse.
Anyone unable to attend can follow the planning process and find additional information at Strathcona Regional District.
