On April 23, members of the Campbell River RCMP Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the Major Crime, Special Victims, and Crime Reduction Units, along with frontline officers executed two simultaneous search warrants in Campbell River as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

Searches were conducted at residences in the 1800 block of South Island Highway and the 200 block of Birch Street.

  • 190 grams of powder cocaine
  • 228 grams of methamphetamine

Initial field tests have been conducted and further Health Canada lab analysis will be conducted to confirm the full composition of the substances.

Additionally, over 90 cartons of illicit tobacco were located, and over $96,000 and 4 vehicles were seized.

A 38-year old man, a 44-year old woman and a 68 year-old woman were all arrested and later released with a first court appearance set for July.
