Comox Valley RCMP are reaching back decades in hopes of advancing an ongoing investigation.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying individuals who may have been living at or regularly staying at the former Courtenay Train Station between 1989 and 1991.

Investigators say a family is believed to have been residing at the station, located on Cumberland Road, during that time.

Officers are hoping to speak with those individuals, or anyone who may remember them, as they could have information relevant to the investigation.

RCMP say while the time frame dates back more than 30 years, people who lived or worked in the area may still recall who was part of the community at the time.

Anyone who remembers the family, had interactions with them, or may have been part of that household is being asked to come forward.

Police say even small details could help move the investigation ahead.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321 and refer to file 2025-10301.
