A heat warning has been lifted for East Vancouver Island, with a gradual cooling trend beginning on Thursday.

The warning was also in effect for Inland Vancouver Island, North Coast inland sections including Terrace and Kitimat, Central Coast inland sections including Bella Coola, and Sunshine Coast.

During Yellow Heat Warnings, existing public facilities across the Comox Valley provide places to cool down during regular operating hours.

Visit Comox Valley Regional District for a list of community centres, libraries, splash parks, misting stations, and other public spaces where you can find relief from the heat throughout the Comox Valley.

The City of Campbell River has also shared maps with various water fountains and cooling stations around town at City of Campbell River.
