There will be a closure Thursday as crews repair a bridge on the Courtenay Riverway.
A section was closed last week after a tree fell onto the pedestrian bridge over Millard Creek.
Crews removed the tree but further repairs were needed on the bridge.
Welders will be doing repair work today from 9am until around noon.
The pedestrian bridge will be temporarily closed while work is underway, but pedestrians will be let through the work zone if it's safe to do so.
Officials ask that community members watch for signage on site and direction from workers.
