Work is back on along 17th Street in Courtenay.
Improvements on 17th Street between Fitzgerald and Willemar Avenues were completed in November, making the link in the Comox Valley’s active transportation network safer and more accessible for people who walk, cycle, and roll.
For most of this week, crews will be working on various sections of the sidewalks, 8:30am-4:30pm, now through Thursday, weather permitting.
They’ll be doing some touch-up work that will require the closure of the sidewalk and bike lane adjacent to each work area.
Intermittent disruptions to vehicle traffic are also expected, with occasional single-lane alternating traffic.
