Two organizations caring for feral and abandoned cats in Campbell River & the Comox Valley held their winter auctions recently.
The Campbell River Partners for Animal Welfare Society, or CR PAWS, and the Cat Advocate Teaching and Saving Society, or CATS, take in feral and abandoned cats and prepare them for adoption.
Fully run by volunteers, they rely heavily on annual fundraisers like the winter auction, where businesses and community members donate goods and services to be auctioned off.
The CR PAWS winter auction raised $3965, while the CATS’ auction was bigger than ever, bringing in over $11,418.
Both organizations give thanks to their hard working volunteers and to all of the donators and participants in the Auctions.
Every dollar raised goes directly to the medical and care costs of the rescued cats of Campbell River and the Comox Valley.
