Fire crews are working on an out of control blaze near Comox Lake.
The fire was discovered Monday and is about 4 hectares in size.
BC Wildfire Service crews on the ground are getting aerial support from helicopters and air tankers.
The fire, north of Comox Lake, is suspected to be human caused.
While there are campgrounds and recreational facilities in the general area, and this is a high recreational-use location, there is no immediate risk to structures or critical infrastructure.
