The speed limit along the short stretch of Glacier View Drive in Comox has been reduced from 50 km/h to 40 km/h.
The effort is meant to provide consistency along the road, “benefiting drivers by creating a safer and more predictable driving environment,” according to the Town of Comox.
The Town joined K’omoks First Nations, City of Courtenay, and the Comox Valley Regional District in a joint letter to the Ministry of Transportation requesting work be done to address speeds on that stretch. The change is now in effect.
