Waste Collection Containers Collection Drop-Off And Pick-Up Schedule In Comox

Town of Comox residents who have received their new waste collection carts can begin using them the week of January 2nd.

Residents who are unable to repurpose their existing waste collection containers will be able to drop them off for free at the west parking lot of Comox Marina Park, near the boat launch, between January 6th to 13th.

This collection event will also provide an opportunity for anyone interested in repurposing containers - garbage cans, large recycling cans, blue boxes, and organics containers - to pick them up on a first-come, first-served basis - in hopes that many of the old ones don’t end up in the landfill themselves.

At the end of the campaign, any remaining containers will be shipped to Merlin Plastics for recycling.

The Town says the new automated curbside collection carts should have been delivered to all eligible properties by now.
