The federal government is forcing a vote on Canada Post’s “final offer” to the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.
Canada Post says it welcomes the decision as it will provide employees with the opportunity to have a voice and to vote on a new collective agreement at a critical point in the company’s history.
Canada Post presented final offers on May 28th.
CUPW doesn’t agree with the move and is calling on all postal workers to stand together and vote no to the offers. The union’s national overtime ban remains in effect.
