The Town of Comox wants to hear from residents as it develops its Urban Forest Management Strategy.
The UFMS will provide a comprehensive plan to assess the current state of Comox’s tree canopy and a roadmap for maintaining and enhancing a diverse, resilient, and healthy urban forest over the next 30 years.
The open house runs Thursday, October 16, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Details and a participation link can be found at Engage Comox Valley.
Mayor Nicole Minions says the urban forest is one of Comox’s greatest assets.
Minions says the strategy will help plan for the future while preserving and enhancing the natural environment.
Feedback from the virtual open house will shape the draft strategy, which will be posted online later this fall.
