Time is just about up to have your say on the future of the Outdoor Pool in Lewis Park.

Courtenay Mayor Bob Wells says the outdoor pool, in its current condition, is reaching the end of its useful life at almost 75 years old.

A virtual open house will take place Tuesday evening for residents to learn more about how Comox Strathcona Waste Management operates.

They’ll provide insight into everything from landfills and recycling depots to how CSWM manages greenhouse gas emissions and protects groundwater at the landfill.

The CSWM says it heard from over 1,000 people this summer and ‘’have been encouraged by the high level of interest in how we manage garbage, recycling and compost across the Comox Valley and Strathcona Regional Districts.’’

The online open house starts at 6pm tonight and you do need to register ahead of time.

There is also a survey up where you can offer your thoughts on the current solid waste management system and their proposed goals and guiding principles.

The online survey runs until September 25th and participants could win a $100 gift certificate to a Habitat for Humanity Restore.

There will also be an in-person open house, at the Maritime Heritage Centre in Campbell River, next Tuesday, September 19th, between 5pm and 8pm.
